Michelle R. Martin, RN, CPNP-PC

Michelle Martin started her career as a registered nurse in the NICU at St. John’s Mercy and then transferred to the pediatric floor. She saw all ages and specialties. Her career as an pediatric nurse practitioner started with her husband taking a job in Kansas City, Mo. She worked in a pulmonary/cystic fibrosis clinic there at Children’s Mercy. They then moved to Wisconsin for 14 years, where she worked in a pediatric primary care office.

They moved back to St. Louis just before the pandemic, and she started working at Children’s After Hours Care. She joined Dr. Huger in September 2022. Michelle prefers these hours and enjoys working with all ages and illnesses. Getting to know the families and building a relationship is very important to delivering good care.

Michelle and her husband have two children – the oldest (son Alex) graduated from college and works remotely in Austin, Texas, and their daughter is in her fourth year at Maryville University. She will complete 6.5 years to obtain her doctorate in physical therapy. Both Michelle and her husband are from St. Louis and are back home to stay. All of their family and friends are here. They now have a new child, a “COVID” puppy. She is a labradoodle named Luna. She is a blessing and keeps the family busy and active.
